Status: CONFIRMED; Reference: MAINTENANCE-20250306; Scope: *.AD.HVAICLAB.INTERNAL (ALL SERVICES); ATTN: Service disruptions expected; Remote desktop access service moved to https://deskhub.sghvaic.org.

The computing platform will be moved to a new physical machine with upgraded hardware. As a result, the following virtual machines will be upgraded as well:

  • vm-linux-cp: RAM upgrade from 64GiB to 512GiB (shared); Addition of 2x NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA 48GiB/44GiB vGPUs.
  • vm-win-cp: RAM upgrade from 32GiB to 512GiB; Addition of 1x NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA 4GiB vGPU.

Automatic backup for all machines will also be configured. Details will be announced at a later date.

Decommissioning of virtual machine HVACLAB-WINDE and remote desktop services at https://vhorizon-hvaclab.sghvaic.org

hvaclab-win-de is decommissioned and only available at https://vhorizon-hvaclab.sghvaic.org. Migration guide to be released at a later date.

Users may access the desktops of the newly available vm-linux-cp and vm-win-cp at https://deskhub.sghvaic.org.
